Laundry

I got this recipe for homemade laundry soap from my friend Sarah and had to share it with you all! It is easy to make and very economical plus it does not have all the harsh chemicals in store bought detergents!

1/2 C Dr, Bronner's Liquid Soap in desired scent (you can find this at Target now!)
1/2 C Borax
1/2 C Washing Soda

Blend all ingredients in food processor until no longer clumpy.

Use 1-2 TBSPs per load.

If you choose unscented soap you can add essential oils to the washer water or a damp washcloth in the dryer. Here are a few you could try:

5 drops orange, 5 drops vanilla
5 drops jasmine, 5 drops vanilla
5 drops sandlewood, 3 drops cedarwood, 5 drops vanilla
5 drops sandlewood, 5 drops vanilla, 5 drops lavender

You can also exchange Dr Bronner's soap for any castile soap or Fels Naptha soap. If you use bar soap you must first finely grate the soap.
