I know I have been MIA the past week or so, but we signed up last minute for our first outdoor craft show this past Saturday, and I have been busy sewing and getting ready for that. It was a stormy day (although, thankfully the rained stayed away for the hours that the show was open) so we were super glad I purchased this tent last week!
I sewed a ton of new aprons but unfortunately I finished them in the wee hours Saturday morning so these are the only pictures I have of them all :( I will be listing what is left in the next week, once the rain passes and I can get some good photos.
In addition to the craft show I also got to go pick out fabric for our next couple of sewing class projects with Regan, my other machine sewing student, and her mom (who just happen to be our good friends), and we had dinner with our neighbors and got a tour of the tear drop camper they are making. Pretty cool! (this is a phone pic- that is why it is so grainy).
Hopefully you will see me in this space a little more this week :)

so far this week...
Tommy discovered the copier the other night.
Last night I let the kids eat my gingerbread house...
This is what it looked like before...
and after. They were bouncing off the walls after dinner!
To make up for his earlier mischief, Tommy helped my sew some aprons last night...
Here are some of the ones I am working on for my last craft show on Saturday.
The holiday craft show season has been fun, but I am ready for a break for awhile! Maybe I will actually get some of that sewing on my personal "to make" list done!

friday photos
The kids wanted in on the holiday craft shows, so they spent this morning making bracelets to sell at tomorrow's bazaar.
Even Addie made herself a bracelet :)
We also got a new garage door today, yay!
I forgot to take a before picture, but our old one was literally rotting away!
isn't it pretty?
And finally, I just finished a pile of kids aprons. I did some major de-stashing for these. It felt good to use all the fabric I've been hoarding, waiting for the perfect project. Hopefully they will all go to good homes at tomorrows craft show!

sewing again
I've been trying to make a little time for sewing the last few days. A little bit here and there and I've been able to accomplish small projects. Here is one finished...
and one in progress.
I am actually working on a few of these kitties. I think I'll name this one Argyle. If I can get them together, they will be at my next craft show in a couple weeks.

craft show season has begun!
Just a couple pictures of our craft show display from a two weeks ago!
And one big smile from Emmaline :)
I am wanting to blog more, but right now life is just not allowing it! Hopefully things will settle into a routine and I will be here more soon!

sewing, sewing and more sewing
It's possible I went a little crazy sewing tote bags this weekend...
The stripped fabric came from Ikea and the popsicles are from Joann's. The bags are all different sizes and are all lined (with the exception of the small popsicle bag). My friend Dianna and I are hoping to get a table at the local flea market next months... if the coordinator ever calls me back!
I also made up a few zippered pouches
And am working on some more bibs.

craft fair 2
We had our second craft show on Saturday. This time we had two tables and still felt like there wasn't enough room!
My bed frames got lots of oohs and aahs... everyone was shocked when I told them I made them (with some help from my pops of course), too bad I am not still making children's tables- I think I might have sold a few!
They had a huge white elephant area and I scored 3 boxes of lace trim, zippers, and covered buttons for $5! Some of the trim was hand crocheted, it was definitely a steal. I found a few other treasures, but they are tucked away for another time :)

our first craft show
My friend Diana shared a table with me at the craft show today. It was way more fun having a friend to sit with all day. The other ladies in our room were really nice too. We didn't sell a ton of stuff, but we still had a good time. We've got another show next month, so hopefully we will do a little better then.
Dianna makes these super cute Snugglies, they are like a lovie that you can attach a paci to. She's on Etsy too, go check out her shop and buy something :)
I got a bit of sewing done in the past few weeks and will try and add some new pieces to my shop this week.

happy mail
This gorgeous stack of fabric came in the mail this week. These are just a few prints from Sandi Henderson's Secret Garden line. They are even prettier in real life than online, and the fabric feels so wonderful! I can't wait to cut into these!
Tomorrow is the craft show. I guess I am as ready as I can be. I'll be back soon with pictures of our display, I am really excited with how it is shaping up! Wish us luck!
