We stated a new Konos Unit this week, Honor, and our first two weeks are being spent building a model of the Tabernacle. With Dr.'s visits and emergency hardware store runs it has been slow going, but here is a chronicle of our week so far...Learning how to use the miter box...

Painting the bases of the pillars bronze.
Gluing on the silver "caps" to the pillars.
The curtains are hung!
The Gate is decorated.
The Brazen Alter.
Tomorrow we build the Holy of Hollies!

It looks like it is coming out great. My dd built one of these a couple years ago and used it for that year's academic fair project. I will never forget it and I don't think she will either. I never would have really understood what the tabernacle looked like if it weren't for that project. I hope you get as much out of it as we did. It was also slow going for us. Keep at it! :)
