finally made it to the garden...

I spent the last hour and a half trying to find the Hydrangea's in my much neglected garden in the back yard. In that time, I made it about a third of the way through the relatively small garden, if that gives you any idea of exactly how bad the weeds are. Actually, it is mostly crab grass, which has been let go so long that it has choked everything else out. Even with gloves, my hands are raw from yanking and digging at the roots of the crab grass.

Here is what I pulled out.

I had some help from the kids. You can't tell, but they are even wearing gardening gloves I got them at the dollar store.

A Rolly Polly provided at least twenty minutes of entertainment for these two :)
