a little light

The kids and I stayed home sick from church today. After we straightened up the house I decided to try and cross something off of my crafting to do list.

My friend received a lamp like this at her baby shower a few weeks ago and it turned out so cute I had to give it a try myself!
It is a perfect fit for the girls room and Regan loves her "new" lamp!

How did you get them to stick? Hot glue, or putting holes in your shade? I'm getting ready to do the girls' room and could get a cute little lamp at the Goodwill...voila!

Here is my mini tutorial... I punched holes with a hole puncher, make them as close as possible without compromising the strength of the hole(s). Then tie 5" pieces of ribbon through each hole. Thin ribbons I double knotted but fat ribbon's were just single knotted. I am sure I don't need to tell you to cut your ribbon on an angle to prevent unraveling... There you have it!
